Facetime

I got a new phone and Jaxon thinks the facetime camera is pretty neat.  Hopefully as he gets older he will still like to preform in front of the camera like John did and not run from it like I did.

My LIttle Lumberjack

Well since it is almost Christmas, I'll document Jaxon's 2012 halloween.  He was the cutest little lumberjack, who wouldn't get off his bike.  We were so lucky it was a beautiful, warm evening for the trick-or-treaters.

With cousin Aura, the bumblebee. He looks like a giant next to her. They are 7 months apart.

He realized what trick-or-treating is all about when he saw the candy in his sack!

Grandpa Eldon

Grandpa is 88 years old and still mowing his lawn and doing plenty of yardwork.  You can tell he has had a few children because he knows exactly how to entertain Jaxon.  He found a plastic lid that also worked as a frisbee and was throwing that around with Jaxon.  He found the blower, which is one of Jaxon's favorite "toys," and started it up for him.

Grandpa Eldon is a good grandpa; so kind, always wanting to be helpful and productive, and generous.    He is very self-reliant, always making himself good meals (and we're not talking mac and cheese), creates an amazing garden and shares the produce.  He will even make jellos and rhubarb cake like Grandma Elna used to do for family parties.

We're lucky to have him and looking forward to him and my parents joining us on our cruise in February!

I'm really mad I didn't get his whole head in this picture...

Wheeler Farm

SLC has it's very own fun, free, public farm that I never knew about.  Wheeler farm has ducks, geese, pigs, cows, horses, goats... There are wagon rides, cow milking, and you can watch an old-fashioned blacksmith do his work.  We spent a few hours there on Monday with the cousins.  I spent a lot of time keeping Jaxon from jumping into the pond, which is what he really wanted to do.  He kept escaping and running to the pond.  He would watch me as he slowing walked away, when he saw me look at him he would turn and run his little heart out. :)

One little monkey

This is the cute ball of energy I chase around everyday.  Hard to believe he is so big... He just gets more and more fun every day.

Deer Creek

John didn't have to work yesterday so we went up to Deer Creek for a few hours.  It was relaxing and beautiful! Jaxon's favorite part was throwing rocks into the lake from the shore.  He points to it and says "A-wa" (water) over and over. He did pretty good in the boat, although he would rather be playing IN the water.  Don't worry Gwamma, we kept a life vest on him.

(I like that Jaxon's finger is in his nose)

Color

John was out of town so I decided to get a little crazy and make new covers for our pillows.  Jaxon and I headed on over to Hobby Lobby and found this cute fabric.  It's bright but I'm craving some color in our house.

Next on my list, find a new rug with some COLOR!
